Xavier Deblack
Xavier Deblack, a native of France, is a member of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, is Principal Second Violin of the Madison Symphony Orchestra and is Associate Concertmaster of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. In past years, Xavier was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Rockford and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestras.
Xavier received his Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI where he studied with Violin Professor Stéphane Tran Ngoc, and was Concertmaster of the Lawrence University Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.
In France, Xavier won several Premier Prix with Honors from the Paris and Marseille Conservatories of Music in Violin Performance, Chamber Music Performance and Music Theory. As a member of the Mediterranean Youth Symphony Orchestra, Xavier toured and played concerts at historic sites in Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. His principal violin teachers included Stéphane Tran Ngoc, Gilles Henry, Rolland Muller, Maurice Hasson, Marie-Annick Nicolas and Philip Bride.
In addition to music, Xavier received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a specialization in Audio and Video Recording from the Brittany Science University in Brest, France.
Xavier and his wife Deanndra, a violinist in WCO and MSO as well, rehair and repair violin, viola, cello and bass bows. They also play Violin Duets together for weddings and other celebratory events.
