Our Mission

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra is a professional chamber orchestra dedicated to providing high quality musical performances designed to entertain, inform and enhance the quality of life of diverse local and regional audiences. Well known for Concerts on the Square held at the State Capitol for six consecutive Wednesdays each summer, the WCO produces 29 concerts annually, including an indoor Masterworks series, five holiday concerts and several run-out performances around the state. The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra is in its 45th season as Madison's Chamber Orchestra.

Our Goals

In executing its mission, the WCO is committed to the following goals:
• Increase the awareness of, and support for, music written for chamber orchestra
• Expand the Masterworks series of classical performances
• Preserve and enhance Concerts on the Square
• Develop music appreciation in children at an early age
• Enhance community celebrations and holidays with orchestral performances
• Provide outreach programs to serve more constituents and communities
• Explore opportunities to collaborate with other artists and organizations
